Idaho Code Requirements
Comprehensive Plan: Supporting Reference
Overview
The following is a list of 17 components required in a Comprehensive Plan by the State of Idaho. State Statute for this can be found in Title 67 State Government and State Affairs, Chapter 65 Local Land Use Planning, of State code. Specific planning duties including the list of components can be found in § 67-6508.
The State required components are addressed in either the Comprehensive Plan (CP) or in the Existing Conditions Report (an addendum to the CP). Additionally, many of the other plans, studies, and documents that are Adopted by Reference in the Comprehensive Plan, build up these components and go into greater depth.
For references to the Existing Conditions Report (ECR), see the relevant section of text in the ECR PDF available on the Links and Resources page.
