Today as we gather with family and friends to celebrate Christmas, let us reflect on the warmth and spirit that defines our premier community.
Meridian is not just a place to live but a community filled with a sense of belonging, and the holiday season brings an extra dose of magic to our streets, parks, and neighborhoods. The twinkling lights on homes and storefronts create a festive atmosphere that brings joy and goodwill. Whether you visit one of the amazing homes decorated throughout Meridian, are in our downtown enjoying the Christmas tree in Generations Plaza or are enjoying the lights on the Scentsy campus, there is a great sense of holiday spirit throughout our community.
While most of us are home today exchanging gifts and sharing meals with loved ones, Meridian’s First Responders can be found working, ready to help anyone in need and keeping us all safe. If you happen to be out and see them today, I encourage you to wish them a Merry Christmas and let them be filled with the joy of the holidays.
Let us remember the true essence of the season – kindness, generosity, and compassion. May the holidays fill your homes with warmth and your hearts with joy. On behalf of the City of Meridian, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May the coming year bring prosperity, good health, and continued blessings to our premier community.
