The Meridian Parks and Recreation Department’s mission is to enhance the community’s quality of life by providing innovatively designed parks, connected pathways, and diverse recreational opportunities for all citizens.
Unplug and Be Outside is joining forces with RecFest this year. Meridian Parks & Recreation and Idaho Parks & Recreation are partnering to create one big splash. We are excited to offer a week's worth of free activities in sports and recreation for all ages.

Recycle a Bicycle Program is a partnership between the City of Meridian’s Solid Waste Advisory Commission and Republic Services. They work together to refurbish recycled bicycles for those in need of a working bike. In April, residents* may request a free bicycle for themselves and family members through the City’s online request form. *While all community members are eligible, Meridian residents are given priority.
In addition, community members can visit the Recycle a Bicycle booth at the Meridian Parks’ Unplug & Be Outside Kick Off Event to try out and bring home available, free refurbished bikes.
