Supplying safe drinking water is a commitment that our City's Water Division and its operators take seriously. It is our passion and commitment to you, our customer, that every time you open a faucet, clean, safe water is available without question and without concern.
Looking back over the impacts of the past year, I would like to highlight our greatest and most important asset - our dedicated staff and professional water operators. Join me as I share some of the trials of the past year and what our Water team has done to overcome them and continue to bring you premier service.
As the community responded to COVID-19, it was apparent that work dynamics were changing for many. Our courageous Water team took this challenge head on, without questions, leaving their homes and loves ones behind each morning and heading out alone into a world of uncertainty for a larger cause - to ensure our community would continue to have safe drinking water during this crisis. Keeping our customers and loved ones safe was priority one; the lack of safe drinking water was not an option, and the team succeeded on all fronts. They endured long hours and what felt like endlessly compounding operational challenges all while carrying the personal worry of how this virus would not only affect them, but possibly their families upon their return each day. Through all of this, and much more, they were able to quickly adapt and ensure this critical service remained unchanged during a time we needed it most.
To our 29 team members- I'm truly humbled by your unwavering teamwork and outstanding results and am honored to work beside you. My hat's off to your commitment, dedication, and sacrifice, not only this past year, but each and every year. You all have yet again set a leading example of outstanding Public Works and Water Professionals.
To our customers - I hope you enjoy this year's report and find the information convenient, useful, and educational. We appreciate your trust and confidence as providers of your drinking water. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to our Water Division. We are always here to serve you, our residents.
